Hugo’s journey began in South Korea under incredibly difficult circumstances. His mother, a pregnant stray, was caught in a wild boar trap and tragically lost one of her back legs. Despite her injury and the poor conditions of the shelter, she gave birth to seven healthy puppies and protected them with all her might. Thankfully, the entire family was rescued and brought to safety. Once the puppies were weaned, Hugo’s mom finally received the surgery and care she needed and is now healing in a loving foster home.

Hugo was later taken in by Charm Adopt to prepare for his big move from Korea to the United States. He arrived on April 12 and is currently settling in with a wonderful foster family in New Jersey while he waits for his forever home.

Hugo is a sweet, energetic, and food-loving puppy who brings joy wherever he goes. He gets along beautifully with everyone—people, other dogs, and even cats! He loves staying close to his humans and is a big fan of giving kisses and being cuddled. He also loves sitting on the couch and gazing out the window.

Hugo’s most charming features are his soulful brown eyes and his puffy, soft muzzle, which is absolutely irresistible! Cheerful and affectionate, yet gentle and calm, Hugo is ready to shower his new family with endless love.
