Meet Akii!

Last winter, this tiny, snow-white puppy was found tied to a post in a quiet rural village in South Korea on a freezing day. Left with no shelter from the biting winter wind, his food and water bowls were frozen solid. Thankfully, a brave rescuer stepped in and brought him to safety. Despite being neglected in the cold for days, a vet checkup showed that Akii was perfectly healthy! He went straight to a loving foster home, where his amazing adaptability shined as he instantly befriended the resident dogs and foster parents.

On May 11, Akii traveled to his new foster home in New Jersey. He is an incredible traveler who stays calm and relaxed inside his kennel during plane, train, or car rides. Though he looks like a tiny, adorable Chihuahua mix, he grew up around big Jindo dogs, so he gets along beautifully with dogs of all shapes and sizes. He absolutely loves human and dog friends, and he is a huge fan of playing ball! When he runs around, his ears and legs flop and bounce in the most adorable way, and it is impossible not to smile when you see him.

Because Akii loves being around his family, he is currently working on his separation anxiety. When his foster mom goes out, he might howl a bit because he is in a new environment, but he never destroys things and usually just falls asleep. He is so smart and brave that we know he will overcome this soon with a little patience. Akii is also fully house-trained both indoors and outdoors. However, he especially loves doing his business on grass, so a home with a yard or a nearby park would be a perfect match.

Akii is a tiny, white, and absolutely charming boy who survived a cold winter and is now completely ready to fill your life with love. Will you open your heart and become Akii’s forever family?
